Hamasaki-yaki is a traditional pottery rooted in Hasami Town, Nagasaki Prefecture. Maruhiro is acclaimed for kitchenware and daily necessities, achieving success in both local and international markets, emphasizing quality and design. Together with Hamasaki-yaki, they boast a long history and reliability, becoming indispensable elements in Japanese culture and daily life.
Inside the black bowl, a glossy black glaze with oil droplets called "Yuteki Temmoku" is applied, while the outside is fired without glaze to preserve the texture of Shimaishi. The rough touch of Shimaishi gives a simple warmth.
